Rifle Range Closed - Construction Continues

The Rifle Range continues to be closed, until further notice, for continuing construction of retaining walls, repairing drainage system, building an all-weather path and repairing stilling ponds, all in preparation for Winter rains.

The work started 10/21 is still not complete.   Much effort has been put in, and much work was done (daily).

Rifle range is not safe to use at this time, due to potential ricochets, etc.

For example, there is a (shrinking) pile of gabion rock (the gray pile in photo center), as well as drain rock in the line of fire.

Most work can be done independently - placing more gabion rock, lagging more boards onto retaining walls, connecting last section of french drain, back-filling retaining walls, adding support to stilling pond dams, etc.
