Tasks for 11/18/2017 work-party

1 - FINISH LEFT-SIDE RETAINING WALL IN RIFLE RANGE (contact/lead - Jeff Hill)

Cut and lag more boards along left side.

Shovel a little more dirt into geo-cells in back left corner.  Place more geo cell, or stack for future use.

2 - Clear space between Conex box and Pistol house (contact/lead- Stan St.L-B)

New electrical system & batteries will be mounted outside of Pistol house, on wall.

Pick up new solar batteries, & battery box from Jeff Hill's house.  Batteries are heavy, >100 lbs each.

3 - Start wet-season walkway on right side of rifle range (contact/lead- Jeff Hill)

Set and stake border for walkway, establish levels.

4 - Assemble 2 new picnic tables (no lead needed)

Drill and mount 2x10 top and seats, sand rough edges (no seat splinters!), & seal.

5. General range cleanup & maintenance (no lead needed)

  • Fill and replace torn-up sandbags along rifle range drainage.
  • Sweep out houses, magnet sweep up staples, rake target areas as needed.
  • Organize target frames.
  • Replace shot-up wood protectors on target berm structures and sheds.  (remove old boards, cut and attach replacements from various scrap lumber at range).
  • Collect & organize left-over wood and boards (stack usable under cover out of rain, unusable in pile for trash or dump run) .

6.  Minor drainage repairs  (contact/lead - Stan St.L-B).

Replace section of plastic drain pipe in Pistol range.   During Thursday rain, found a section of correx drain pipe in middle is damaged, blocking drainage flow.    Dig up and replace pipe.

Re-level and angle dirt around drain boxes to improve water flow off of pistol range.

Create a small swale across Rifle range gate, prevent surface water from running down the road.
