Rifle Range Closed 8AM to 1PM.  Sunday January 6th, 2019.

Reminder: This is a rain or shine event. Please bring your foul weather gear. If it's raining we'll do our best to complete our tasks as quickly as possible, so we can get home and dry.

***** Expect Muddy Conditions - Looking like some heavy rain Saturday - Clay soil at the rifle range makes some super sticky gunk. *******************************

Volunteers needed to sandbag the uphill portion of the 100 yard line and install a small drainage ditch behind the 100 yard line target bases.  Work party credit for this event.  Estimate 3 to 4 hours to complete. The idea is to divert the water and mud away from the target bases. We want to prevent the bases from filling up with mud.

We'll gather at 8:30 and start work at 9 or shortly before.  We'll need to fill sandbags and do some digging, so gloves would be handy. Digging a small drainage ditch between the sandbags and the target bases to divert water and mud. If the drainage ditch works, we will install something more perminate that will be easier to clean out. We'll also be installing screws in the bottom of the 2x4 spacers on all the fixed target bases. The screws will act as standoffs to allow water to drain out of the channel the bases are sitting in.

If someone wants to pick up some coffee and pastries, the club will reimburse the expense. Not a regular work party so lunch is not part of the deal. If you plan to get the coffee etc. let me know so we don't have multiple folks bring coffee.
