 Rimfire Sporter Match
Civilian Marksmanship Program ("CMP") Sanctioned event at the Club Rifle Range on October 8th, 2022. Members interested in competing are encouraged to sign up. Participants or spectators under 18 are allowed By Parent or Guardian.

Never shot a match before?  You are welcome 

Location: Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club Rifle Range  (Note: the rifle range will be closed for general member use during the match.)

Entries:

Entrants must be members of SVSC. Sign up using the Sportsmen's Club Calendar or use the Register Button on the notification email. First-Come-First-Served. A maximum of 16 competitors (4 shooters in 4 relays).

Persons under the age of 18 are encouraged to participate in Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club events. However, persons under the age of 18 may only participate in Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club matches provided that his/her parent or legal guardian is a member of the Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club, and persons under 16 are at all times in the company of and/or under the supervision/instruction of a Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club member.

Competitors will be grouped by category of rifle, with groups for:

• 22 rimfire rifle with "iron" sights
• 22 rimfire rifle with scope sights
• 22 rimfire - Tactical (semi-auto, AR-15 style rifles)
  

Scoring/Target Service: Competitors will score adjacent targets.

Targets: All firing will be on CMP Rimfire Sporter targets. The Club will supply all targets

Rules: This is an CMP Approved match and CMP Rimfire Sporter rules will apply. It is the competitor's responsibility to be familiar with the current rules.

Participants must be present for the safety briefing at 8:45 AM.

Participants not present for the safety brief will not compete.

Sighting Period 50 yards Unlimited sighters - 5 minutes.

Match 1 50 yards 10 shots prone slow fire - 10 minutes.

Match 2 50 yards 10 shots prone rapid fire - 2 series of 5 shots in 30 seconds each Match 3 50 yards 10 shots sitting/kneeling slow fire - 10 minutes.

Match 4 50 yards 10 shots sitting/kneeling rapid fire - 2 series of 5 shots in 30 seconds each Match 5 25 yards 10 shots standing slow fire - 10 minutes.

Match 6 25 yards 10 shots standing rapid fire - 2 series of 5 shots in 30 seconds each
