Scotts Valley 2025 4th of July Parade Volunteers

This is an opportunity to earn SVSC Probation Event Credit or for regular adult members, Work Party Credit. 

The Club encourages members to volunteer for civic activities in our local community. The City of Scotts Valley is holding a 4th of July Parade. They have asked us if we can provide several volunteers to help with various tasks related to this parade. Tasks are varied:

• Setup
• Traffic control assistance
• Assisting the parade marshal
• Staging area management
• Horse staging
• Keeping children off the parade route when vehicles are near
• Tear down / Clean up

None of this is heavy work. You may have to attend a planning session before parade day. 

Start time for the parade is 11AM, though we will want people to arrive a little earlier to take attendance, last minute issues, etc.

There will also be a pre-parade meeting (Volunteer Orientation Meeting) on Tuesday, June 24th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Scotts Valley City Council Chambers. 

We are looking for volunteers at this point.  Sign up here, and we will match you up with a specific task closer to the parade.

The shooting range will be open during this city event.  Volunteers will be working in the city, not at the range.
