hi, thanks for the reply. I will look into Ken.

I will never got back to Perry's. he ripped me off a long time ago when I was ignorant of vintage guns authentication. he sold me a vey expensive winchester 1890 (I'm embarrassed to say how expensive) that was actually a non-matching serial numbered 1906 with a bad re-blue and a relined barrel! none of which he told this rube when I bought it. he knew he was ripping me off.  avoid Perry's.

There was a guy in Aptos by the name of Ken Breda, an internet search for him shows contact info for him in both Aptos and Oakhurst. Is Perry's in Scotts Valley worth looking into.

right now I would like to have a new special barrel indexed to my winchester 1890 2 model. I need some work done on my antique winchester rifles and on my sig sauer as well.

    thanks

Does anybody know of reliable and knowledgeable gunsmithing in the Santa Cruz area. I have tried Del Valle and all they did was store my cased rifle on their cement floor for 8 months then told me to pick it up unworked on and with NEW red rust on it!   too busy for gunsmithing! hostile people too.

    thanks
